Work/Life Resources is happy to provide assistance in finding care for your child or children. Our lists include child care providers located throughout the New River Valley. We believe that only a family can decide what type of care is best for their particular situation, and these lists are not an endorsement of any care providers or child care centers. See our link to "Choosing Child Care" for more information.
- Family Day Care Providers - These are individuals who care for children in their own homes. Each Family Day Care provider on our list is licensed by the state of Virginia, or certified through the county which they live. We provide information as to fees, hours of operation, and ages of children accepted, along with the names of three references. Please contact us for more information.
- Temporary Child Care Providers - This list is primarily VT students. They are generally available weekends, evenings, and at other times depending on schedules. Fees, hours of availability, willingness to do light housework, and the names of three references are provided. This list is not available on-line so that we may respect the privacy of the individuals. Please contact us for more information.
- Child Care Centers - These are all licensed child care centers in the New River Valley, as well as church, laboratory and Montessori schools, and after school programs. Information about fees, hours of operation and more is provided.

- Virginia Tech Flexible Reimbursement Accounts - Allows employees to reimburse themselves for daycare expenses with pre-tax dollars for children, disabled spouse, or other invalid dependent. The yearly maximum for a singe employee is $2,500 and the maximum for a married employee is $5,000. The minimum allowed per pay period is $10.
